General Manager

Main objective: Implement, execute, manage, and follow up on operational business strategies that improve profitability at all levels. Deliver revenues and profits by developing, marketing, financing, and providing appealing restaurant service.

Financial Management

  • Control purchases and inventory by meeting with accounts managers; negotiating prices and contracts; developing preferred supplier lists; reviewing and evaluating usage reports; analyzing variances; and, taking corrective actions.
  • Calculate and analyze fixed and variable costs to fix accurate selling prices.
  • Analyze and synthesize large quantitative and qualitative financial reports (profit & loss, labor analysis, food cost, liquor/wine etc...) and extrapolate the business and financial significance of the information in order to increase the company's profitability.
  • Analyze profit margins and ratios and implement preventive/correction actions if needed.
  • Target specific areas in which the company may need to improve operational efficiency. This includes monitoring revenue margins and worker productivity, as well as implementing new directives for growth.

Human Resources

  • Accomplishes restaurant and bar human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; and, enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; and, maintaining security systems.

Marketing & Sales

  • Attract patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public, and community relations programs; evaluating program results; and, identifying and tracking changing demands.
  • Work closely with executive chef on research and development to always keep menus up-to-date and trends. --> Experience in Research & Development and French Culinary Techniques is must.
  • Forecast business trends within the USA and Europe (especially France) for company operations.
  • In charge of the Social Medias Accounts, Contents and Strategy
  • In Charge of the Wine & Liquor Menus - Wine Knowledge and wine service a plus.
  • Create graphic material for restaurant (menus design, flyers, posters, photo shoots, etc...).
  • Meet on a regular basis with all management staff to introduce new goals, promotional/seasonal events or menus.
  • Organize and monitor special events / charity events with Dallas / Fort Worth.
  • Supervise catering and special events department.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in restaurant, hospitality, or tourism management or related field.
At least one year experience in the restaurant, hospitality, and/or tourism industries.
